Method statement for site clearing


A). Work Method Statement
  1. Prior to the commencement of the site clearing Contractor shall establish the site boundary. The setting out of the site boundary shall be done by an approved license land surveyor.
  2. Upon completion of the site boundary survey and pegging works, a copy of the boundary setting out survey drawing shall be submitted to superintending officer for the project for his verification and approval. 
  3. Contractor shall also submit their proposed dumping site for approval prior to site clearing to the superintending officer.
  4. There shall be no clearing works started before any approval being issued out officially by the superintending officer.
  5. During the survey and setting out of the site boundary, contractor will inspect if there is any existing existing crops or property that is within the site. If there is any, contractor shall notify the superintending officer officially and request for information whether the land accusation process, crops counting process, and identification of the affected property had been finalised and compensate accordingly to the owner of such item.
  6. In the event that only land accusation had been conducted and finalised for payment by the authority, Contractor shall request to Superintending Officer to perform joint inspection and measurement between the parties involve which is the owner of the crops and property, Superintending officer or his representative, relevant authority and also the contractor. All parties MUST present during this process to witness and agreed on the data collected. All of the recorded data shall be signed by all parties.
  7. Recorded data shall contained the information on the location, Ownership, quantity, description, date, photo (if possible) and shall be signed by all parties.
  8. Contractor, after the joint inspection then shall notify superintending officer officially and request approval to proceed with the site clearing works. 
  9. All clearing activities shall be recorded in site diary on daily basis.
  10. Contractor shall erect sufficient safety sign to notify public on the construction activities shall any need arise.
  11. Contractor MUST abide to the environmental act or any statutory and regulatory requirement through out the clearing activities.

  1. Excavator
  2. Dozer
  3. Dump truck/Tipper truck
  4. Survey equipment
  5. Chain saw
