- Prior to the excavation work setting out for the Lift hole/Pit shall be established. The setting out shall include the plan dimension and invert level as shown on the approved construction drawing.
- Upon completion of the setting out, Approval Chit/Request for inspection shall be submitted to the superintending Officer (S.O) or his/her representative (S.O.R) to enable them to do the inspection and verification on the setting out. No excavation work shall commence without any official instruction from S.O/S.O.R.
- Excavation work shall only commence upon acceptance of the setting out was done according to the construction drawings by the S.O/S.O.R.
- To avoid any unwanted incidents, Safety sign such as “Awas” and Safety tape shall be install where necessary.
- There shall be no excavation work been carried out during raining days.
- Anytime, during the excavation of the Lift trench/hole/pit, any machine/plant or equipment shall not be place at the edge of the trench/hole/pit. This is to prevent the vertical earth-wall from collapse and cause injury to the worker.
- As soon as possible, after the completion of excavation work, timber prop shall be erected to prevent the collapse of the vertical earth-wall before permanent concrete wall is constructed.
- All excavated earth shall be transported out to contractor dump site or Stock pile at the approved location within the site for later use.
